Home Insurance Claims

We have helped a large number of our customers with their home insurance claims since the 1990s.

This is because the insurance claims process can take a lot of time and can be very frustrating because of its tedious nature.

We come to your home or business in Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin, to assess the damage that has been done so that the estimate can be sent to the insurance company.

Basically, we make it an enjoyable experience rather than a very difficult one.

Filing The Property Claim

The first step is filing the insurance claim. You do this by finding your homeowner’s insurance policy and finding the  insurance claims hotline. This is also a time when you can confirm what your deductible is so that you know that information.

If your insurance company allows you to file a claim online, you can do that instead of call because it tends to be faster.

All you have to do is visit the insurance company’s website and file a claim. Not the website of your agent.

Once the claim is filed, you can call your mortgage provider and ask them for a claim packet. This is a step that speeds up the process a lot to ensure the project will not be delayed. If there is a chance that the insurance carrier denies your claim, the insurance claim packet is in your files.

If you need to file your property claim you can do it online by clicking on the links that corresponds with your insurance company. We will work with ALL insurance companies.

The next step in the process is when an insurance adjuster is assigned to your case by the insurance company.

Depreciation Recovery

The last step is depreciation recovery. Almost all insurance companies apply depreciated value to very item in a settlement. This is the difference between what the item is worth at the time it is damaged versus what it would be worth if it were restored.

When RJI Professionals Inc. performs the repairs, we do so in a way that it is within the amount that the insurance company will settle for. That is so when the repairs are complete, the invoice can be submitted to your carrier and completely covered.

When we do it this way, the insurance company pays you the amount of depreciation that they applied to the repaired items.

We will let you know when it is time for this invoice to be sent. It is advisable to wait a few days after this call to ask the carrier if they have sent you the final payment.

In order for you to receive the depreciation amount, you have to complete the claim in full and also provide all invoices for the work that was done.

We will also follow up with your insurance company to make sure the final part of the settlement has been sent to you.

If You Have A Mortgage

If you have a mortgage, it may be possible that the claim drafts have the mortgage company stated as the additional payee.

The insurance company will place the mortgage company’s name on the check due to vested interest. In the very rare event that the claim repairs would not be completed, the mortgage carrier is then carrying a loan on a home that is worth less than its appraisal value.

Claim In Full

Because of the high quality service that we provide you with and the quality of our materials, it makes more sense for the insurance company to pay the claim in full.
